Stone colonial with freshly painted white trim, portico and black shutters

Exterior Painting in Schwenksville, PA

Siding, trim, shutters and doors scraped, repaired and primed before a drop of finish goes on, on stone colonials and farmhouses across three counties. Serving Montgomery, Bucks and Chester Counties.

Exterior Painting

Scraped, repaired and primed before the first color goes on.

Exterior paint fails at the edges first: window sills, the bottom of door casings, the trim on the sunny side of the house. On the stone colonials and farmhouses around Collegeville, Phoenixville and Chester Springs, a lot of that wood is decades old.

So Mitch's crew starts with the scraper. Loose paint comes off, bare wood gets primed, gaps are caulked and small sections of damaged wood are repaired. One client had six sets of French-style doors and two windows with years of peeling paint; the crew scraped and repaired them and cleaned up every paint chip at the end of each day.

Then the finish goes on by brush and roller where it matters, with exterior lines from Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore chosen for the surface and the exposure.

“Mitch and his crew arrived on time and began working right away with professionalism, attention to details and cleaned up afterwards. We had six sets of French style exterior doors and two windows that had many years of peeling paint. His crew scraped and repaired sections of old wood to prepare them for painting. Every day they cleaned up all paint chips that had scattered while scraping. The finished look was amazing! I will call MK Painting for all my interior and exterior painting projects. Thank you Mitch and crew!”

“... a whole exterior painting (siding, doors, windows, trim) and could not be happier with the finished product (and experience)! Beyond just the painting, Mitch helped us with selecting colors and the best products for performance and quality. We would 100% recommend Mitch and his company for any project you may have.”

Questions

Good to know.

Insured, Army veteran owned, and a Fine Paints of Europe certified painter.

When is exterior painting season?

Exterior work runs spring through fall, when temperatures and dry weather allow. Homeowners who book in late winter get the best choice of dates.

Do you repair rotted wood?

Small sections of damaged trim and wood are repaired as part of prep. Larger carpentry is quoted separately, so you know the cost before work starts.
